Speech Therapy 

Speech Language Pathology is a diverse profession that can treat all types of communication and swallowing issues.  At Redwood, all of our Speech Pathologists are specially trained in Airway Disorders, Autism, Feeding/ Swallowing and Sensory Processing.  While It is designed to help people of all ages, from infants to adults, who have difficulty communicating due to a physical defect, injury, or developmental delay. Speech therapy can involve a range of activities, exercises and techniques that target specific communication challenges, such as difficulty pronouncing certain sounds, expressing verbal or written ideas effectively, or understanding and following spoken instructions. Speech therapists may also work with clients on skills related to nonverbal communication, including body language, eye contact, and facial expression. The goal of speech therapy is to improve communication skills and enhance an individual’s quality of life while being empathetic to their individual needs and differences.
